What sets apart the Uni Apart Group?
A question that can't be answered in one sentence. So today we are proud to introduce you to one of our newest additions to the team, Ramona Otto. We asked Ramona three questions that describe her, her work with us and her understanding of the spirit of the Uni Apart Group. Enjoy reading.
1. What is your area of responsibility, or in which department do you work at the Uni Apart Group?
My job involves so much... but in short, as property manager, I'm the ‘go-to person’ for everything to do with letting and administration in the buildings at Memminger Strasse 33-37 in Neu-Ulm. First and foremost, I manage a total of 263 flats.
I look after the tenants, their concerns, issues and worries - whether it's about paying the deposit or the registration certificate, etc. But I also manage and keep track of all the enquiries from potential tenants, move-ins - move-outs, managing the house staff (cleaning staff + caretaker), etc.
A very extensive task, which is great for me personally!
2. What makes your role particularly interesting?
It's great that no two days are the same.
Of course, you have certain routines and appointments that you schedule in, but little things like when a brief ‘hello’ between the door and the door opens up into a very interesting conversation with the tenants.
3. The slogan of the Uni Apart Group is Friends of the House
- what do you understand by this, and how do you embody this slogan in your work?
I think that's a great slogan and fits in with the general concept of Uni Apart. During my interview with Mr Orthmann, you could immediately sense that cohesion and togetherness among the tenants are extremely important to him, which I thought was great. That's why we also plan tenant parties and other events, for example. I find this joy of working really positive, that there is so much commitment behind it.
I personally like the slogan, it's very close to my own, because I think:
‘Treat your fellow human beings as you would like to be treated yourself.’
And it's nice to have friends at home!
